Essential Functions
100% - Perform various duties:
- Operate computer and/or other general office equipment such as printers, copiers, facsimile, etc. to prepare correspondence, records, reports, briefing charts and graphs
- Prepare a variety of reports used for budgeting, proposal or regulatory compliance etc.
- Basic procedures and techniques of budget preparation and accounting.
- General principles, procedures and practices of record keeping.
- Arrange appointments, schedule meetings, secure reservations and make other arrangements, within established procedures, as directed by supervisor.
- Prepare and distribute memoranda and correspondence. Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Maintain records, process transactions and convey information related to all phases of personnel and business activity.
- Prepare and assemble texts and graphics for briefings and presentations. Proof read all correspondence, materials and reports for errors in spelling, grammar and punctuation.
- Post, tabulate, compile and processes data.
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proficient in computer system and software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, databases, report processing, MS Office, e-mail etc.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including spelling, grammar, punctuation, business letter writing, and basic report presentations.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships and dealing tactfully with others at all times.
- Knowledge of basic office management and organization practices.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
Work Environment/Physical Requirements:
The work environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair, scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching, handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking, pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds. While performing the duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be required to work in a standard office setting and to use standard office equipment, including a computer. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary. Some employees may be required to drive between various locations within the Company facility or between locations. May require the ability to travel by air or auto. These positions may be expected to work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of activities in the organization.
Pay range for this position:
24.61 - 40.00 per hour
