Department Manager

Responsibilities:
- Manage and oversee the daily operations of the department
- Lead a team of employees, providing guidance and support
- Ensure excellent customer service by training staff in phone etiquette and resolving customer complaints or issues
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales and achieve department goals
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with purchasing department to maintain appropriate stock levels
- Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities
- Create and maintain administrative processes, including scheduling, payroll, and performance evaluations
- Collaborate with other Department Managers to optimize overall store operations

Salary starts at $30,000+

Requirements:
- Proven experience in sales or retail management
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in time management and prioritization
- Knowledge of point-of-sale (POS) systems and other retail software
- Ability to analyze sales data and make informed decisions based on market trends
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
