Minimum Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Building Systems, Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience in HVAC maintenance and construction.
- Current State of Michigan Mechanical Contractors License, Unlimited Refrigeration License (City of Detroit), HVAC Contractor’s license.
- Five years of facilities management experience.
- Computer literacy including maintenance management systems, Microsoft Word, Excel and email experience.
- Supervisory experience in skilled trades minimum of ten years of experience.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others.
- A valid driver’s license and driving record acceptable to the University by the University’s insurance carrier.
Desired Qualifications
Proficiency in Campus BMS (Building Management System) management
Proficiency in State Code Compliance, HVAC, Boilers, CSD-1, etc.

Position Purpose
Plan, organize, and supervise facility maintenance and operations dealing with building heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
