Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or individual
- Schedule appointments and manage the appointment calendar
- Verify patient insurance information and collect necessary co-pays or payments
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate referrals to other dental specialties as needed
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail, faxes, and emails
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk area
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a front desk receptionist, preferably in a dental office setting
- Familiarity with dental software
- Proficient in using office equipment including phone systems, computers, and printers
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
