We are seeking a highly organized and friendly Dental Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for our dental office, you will play a crucial role in providing excellent customer service and ensuring smooth operations.
```Duties```
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments using our phone system
- Verify patient insurance coverage and assist with billing inquiries
- Maintain patient records and update information in our Dentrix system
- Handle patient check-ins and check-outs, including collecting payments
- Coordinate with dental hygienists and dentists to ensure efficient patient flow
- Follow HIPAA guidelines to maintain patient confidentiality
- Assist with medical scheduling and appointment reminders
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and data entry
```Skills```
To excel in this role, you should have the following skills:
- Proficiency in using phone systems to handle incoming calls
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient privacy
- Experience working with Dentrix or similar dental practice management systems
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures in a dental office setting
- Strong organizational skills to manage patient records and appointments effectively
- Excellent communication skills to interact with patients, staff, and insurance providers
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role is preferred
