We are a high quality, patient-oriented, small general practice in San Jose seeking a person to do front and back office duties.
We are looking for someone to join our office Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 8:30 am to 6 pm and one Tuesday or Friday per week. Total 4 days per week. I have a second location in the city of Fremont (located at Stevenson Place), so a fifth day (Tuesday or Friday) is possible if the candidate is willing to commute to the city of Fremont for that day or once trained that can also work independently at the San Jose office.
We are looking for a personable, self-movitated, responsible and dependable, organized and efficient team player who takes pride in his/her work.
Speaks English.
speaking Spanish is a plus. but not necessary.
``Duties```
FRONT
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Verify and update patient information in the dental office system
- Collect and process payments from patients
- Assist with insurance claims and billing
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient operations
- Provide excellent customer service and address patient inquiries or concerns
BACK OFFICE
-Preparing, cleaning, disinfecting, setting up the operating room for the patient
-Processing and sterilizing instruments.
- Housekeeping, cleaning floors, bathroom, sinks. Vacuuming, disinfecting office.
This position could lead to a may formal dental assisting position and to assist the dentist chair side.
```Qualifications```
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical office setting preferred
- Proficiency in using dental office software such as Eaglesoft, Epic, eClinicalWorks, or similar systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus
- Familiarity with insurance verification and billing processes
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
