Dental Office Scheduler / Front Desk Receptionist

First Light Dental is currently seeking a highly motivated and professional individual to join our team as Dental Office Scheduler / Front Desk Receptionist. As the first point of contact, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operations. This position will schedule dental patient procedures, review dental treatment plans with patients, and assist in other areas of the front office.

DUTIES:

· Greet and assist arriving patients and visitors

Answer incoming calls and assist callers with scheduling appointments

· Use phone systems and computer software to manage and update appointment schedules

· Coordinate with medical staff to ensure efficient scheduling of patients

· Provide excellent customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns

· Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in the electronic health record system

· Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times

· Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times

QUALIFICATIONS:

· High school diploma or equivalent required

· Must have previous dental scheduling experience and feel comfortable and knowledgeable on how to keep the schedule full, for the best results

· Proficient in using phone systems and computer software

· Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

· Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle unexpected situations

· Knowledge of dental terminology

· Must be a team player

· Possess an energetic & positive attitude and is a team player

· Must enjoy working with patients and assisting them in all ways

JOB TYPE: Full-time

DAYS AND HOURS: This position is 4 - 5 days per week, with full-time benefits. Our office is open Monday thru Thursday from 7:15 am to 4:00 PM and Fridays from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm.
