Summary: Under limited supervision, the Dental Practice Manager oversees the daily operations of the mobile dental office/team by ensuring compliance with company policies, managing employee and patient/advocate relations, and achieving operational goals. This is a great opportunity for experienced dental assistants, lead dental assistants, front and back office trained dental professionals, and treatment coordinators to be trained into a leadership position!


Dental Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Please note we are looking for a team-player Dental Manager with back-office/dental assisting experience who will help their team as needed.

  • Ensure the market's daily schedules are created, efficient, and productive to meet clients' and companies' daily goals. Ensure that all medical administration records are obtained from the facility and scanned into practice management software.
  • Responsible to communicate with patient and or advocates on diagnosed treatment; schedule as appropriate and answer any questions and or concerns during and after treatment.
  • Ensure all appointments have been confirmed - preferably 2 days prior to teams visit.
  • Coordinate all medical clearances with the patient and or advocate with their physician prior to treatment - obtain any missing documents.
  • Monitor teledentistry exams; ensure timely diagnosis and treatment plan by the dentist.
  • Communicate extensively with the regional manager, doctor, hygienist, and assistants to ensure everyone is prepared for the day including but not limited to supplies, equipment, lab cases that have arrived, and facility nuances.
  • Update and monitor provider availability calendar; ensure the team is communicated with for any staff changes. Coordinate teams' "shadow" visits with the regional Manager and Human Resources.
  • Responsible for teams' compliance tasks.
  • Maintain local headquarters tasks with corporate headquarters and triage any issues that arise with the local facility.
  • Complete daily summaries and provider summaries timely.
  • Must be comfortable traveling between client facilities with a corporate vehicle ("clean" driving record required).
  • Ability to assist the team while onsite if necessary (retrieving patients from their rooms, assisting with x-rays, etc.).
  • Must be able to lift objects up to 45 pounds; assist the team with loading and unloading of the vehicle if applicable.
  • Coordinate any vehicle maintenance requirements.
  • Responsible for monitoring team's payroll; work with the regional manager with staffing and PTO approvals.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Dental Practice Manager Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Directly supervises dental office employees and independent contractors. Caries our supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; scheduling doctors, planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, disciplining employees; conducting meetings; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualifications:

  • Computer Skills: An individual should have intermediate knowledge of dental practice management software, Microsoft Office, and Internet Software.


Education and or Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate and or bachelor's degree a plus related in the healthcare field.
  • Five years of dental experience (front office, dental assistant, etc.).
  • Knowledge of dental terminology.
