We are a private general dental practice in Lowell, IN looking for a reliable and self-motivated Front Desk Receptionist with prior experience.
Hours:
-Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM-4:30 PM
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments, both in person and over the phone
- Collect and verify patient insurance information
- Maintain patient records and update necessary information in the system
- Answer phone calls and address patient inquiries
-Calculate insurance treatment plan estimates and review with patients
- Process payments and handle billing inquiries
-Send Insurance Claims, enter insurance claim payments, check on status of outstanding insurance claims
-Enter patient cash and check payments and update their account in dental software
-Process credit card payments
-Send statements for outstanding patient balances
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
Experience:
- Previous experience working in a dental office or medical receptionist role required
- Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
- Proficient in using office software systems (OpenDental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft, etc.) for scheduling and record keeping
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on providing exceptional patient care
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
