Deli Clerk

Responsibilities:
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deli orders
- Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, such as sandwiches, salads, and hot food items
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed in the preparation and handling of food
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to accurately process customer transactions
- Assist with inventory management and restocking of deli items
- Follow proper portion control and food handling procedures
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the deli department

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a culinary or kitchen environment is preferred
- Strong sales skills and ability to upsell deli products
- Knowledge of food service industry practices and standards
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with coworkers and customers
- Basic math skills for cash handling and inventory management
