As a Data Systems Developer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, and maintenance of our Data Systems infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement robust data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. You must be forward-thinking in designing, creating, and implementing data solutions that help our business units make efficient and effective decisions for the company.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing solutions within an organization (Snowflake).
- Building, Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes to extract data from various sources, transform it according to business rules, and load it into the data warehouse.
- Implementing data quality checks and validation processes to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data in the data warehouse.
- Managing metadata to provide documentation and lineage information for data stored in the warehouse.
- Contribute to the Agile and Project Management methodologies from planning to execution (i.e. requirements gathering, decomposition, development, etc.) in support of department or organizational projects.
- Manage multiple projects, shifting priorities as needed to produce accurate work product, all while meeting established deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Formal education in Computer Science.
- Strong proficiency in Programming languages (Java Script)
- Proven experience in developing Data Systems and pipelines using technologies such as Python, SQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, Snowflake.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Must be willing to participate in an on call rotation schedule.
This position offers the option of a hybrid work schedule, with three days working in the office and two days working remotely. If you do not currently live in the South Sioux City, NE area, this position offers relocation.
