Location: In-person position in Austin, TX.  

Summary Description: 
We are seeking a Data Science Intern with a robust background in Python programming and a wide range of Data Science experience to join our team in Austin. This role is pivotal in developing predictive models, performing data analysis, and applying creative problem-solving to complex issues in healthcare.
 
Job Responsibilities:

• Building machine learning models and conducting comprehensive data analysis to support decision-making and product development.
• Working collaboratively with data scientists and engineers to develop and implement innovative solutions.
• Utilizing natural language processing (NLP) techniques to extract insights from unstructured data.
• Evaluating and modifying Python libraries to suit project-specific needs.
• Generating new methodologies and data-driven features through creative ideation.
• Communicating analytical findings effectively to both technical and non-technical team members.

 
Skills and Education:

• Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a graduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Proficient in Python programming and experienced with Data Science libraries.
• Demonstrated experience in data analysis and traditional machine learning.
• Preferred experience with deep learning models, preferably using PyTorch.
• Ability to creatively solve problems and think analytically.
• A quick learner, able to grasp complex healthcare domain concepts and integrate them into solutions.
• Preferred experience or familiarity with the healthcare industry.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Authorization to work in the United States and willingness to work in Austin, TX (Housing not provided).
