Job description

As a MDM Project Lead, you will be responsible for executing and directing significant role-specific project work, as shaped by the MDM Principle Program lead, as a cross-functional team in support of one or more lines of business, orchestrating the collection of people, processes, and technology, focused on specific competencies and capabilities that enable and empower the delivery of scalable and consistent data and analytic products through the deployment of our master data leveraging our established Master Data Management Principles. MDM Project Lead uses and shares existing developed disciplines, standards, best practices, and expectations for technical data & analytic capabilities supported by our Data Programs team, that maximize the adoption of scalable and cross-functional solutions.  They must be able to quickly develop mastery of assigned capability gaps across one or more lines of business that leverage the Program, influencing strategic direction and impact of related programs, projects, and outcomes, while participating in the delivery of technical solutions and best practices that enable scalable data & analytic outcomes.

Our MDM Project Leads typically work with some latitude for action or decisions on specific projects or capability development, while partnering with DTT to prioritize and implement technical platforms.  The MDM Project Lead participates in facilitating the adoption of technical best practices across multiple DTT audience teams and business data & analytics teams.  They may represent ED&A in external conversations and may assist with the selection or oversight of outside vendor partners.

Successful candidates for this role must have a strong understanding of database technology, MDM platforms, and data use within analytic platforms, a moderate understanding of data & analytic product lifecycle, and they must have strong strategic thinking, communication, and project management skills, including prioritization and the ability to influence difficult trade-off decisions.  We expect our MDM Project Leads to have the capacity for fluency and competency across the technical-functional spectrum, able to effectively interface with diverse audiences including DTT, insights analysts, data scientists, and other business leaders.  They should have some experience developing and implementing data & analytics best practices for broad business use and a moderate level of experience with cloud database architecture.  They will need to be fast learners with a keen eye for detail, systems thinking, and process design.  They must be team players who work steadfastly to create impactful change.  This is a professional track role.

Our Flexible Future model offers a healthy mix of working in person and remotely, strengthening key elements of the Chick-fil-A culture by fostering collaboration and community.

  • Acts as a subject-matter-expert and resource on Master Data Management specific best practices and expectations for the larger communities of practice, supporting adoption and proactively communicating issues and resolution.
  • Provides input into defining program KPIs that relate to specific supported project capabilities and communicate performance across the enterprise.
  • Drives role-specific projects to success and enables others to own the impact.
