Job Summary:
This position is responsible for maintaining companywide QA and compliance. Duties include collaboration with the overseas testing and inspection teams. Vetting all new factories and working with factories to maintain compliance to regulatory and customer requirements. Creating, updating, and implementing compliance programs. Researching regulatory requirements as new product lines are introduced to the company profile. Maintaining all annual audits, factory registrations along with all required customer and vendor agreements.
Responsibilities:
Work closely with Testing Associate and China Inspection team
- Ensure all inspections and testing are up to date without delays, review all inspections performed by China team and provide all final decisions as needed
- Create any new tools needed by the compliance team and provide training on any new initiatives
- Review testing reports as needed and work with the factories on any testing failures
- At a minimum, hold weekly virtual meetings with China team
Manage 50+ factory audits annually
- Submit all audit requests to customer for approval before expiration dates and complete any customer initiated special compliance documents
- Work with factories for on time audit renewals and review all final audit reports before submitting to customer
- Initiate annual factory audits in advance of expiration and book factory audits as needed
- Work with factories on all CAP's to ensure information is complete and satisfactory before customer submissions
- Train factories on any new audit requirements related to specific customers
Research and initiate any new programs to keep up with market trends including sustainability. Internal communication and guidance on any new program opportunities and any compliance issues.
Coordinate with all vendors to maintain compliance
- Training on new programs and QC expectations followed by validation procedures
- Internal communication on any urgent issues that may arise
- Hold regular vendor meetings as needed
Vet all new factories
- review all factory profiles and factory audits and determine if a good fit for the company
- Have China team do a factory visit to determine validity of production and factory
- Disseminate factory information and viability to related departments
Directly responsible for overseeing testing for high profile accounts
- Ensure testing is done annually and all records are properly maintained.
Write and update QA manual and any additional documentation required for new procedures research regulatory requirements for any new product lines
- Work with Individual departments on compliance issues that may arise from new product and provide alternative solutions to non-compliant issues
Annual renewal or new registrations for all FDA products annual renewal or new registrations on all state stuffed article requirements
Vendor Agreement maintenance
- Update any new regulatory requirements, redistribute to vendor base annually and have all new vendors sign the agreement
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years global compliance and QA experience, preferably in accessories. Includes knowledge of audit management, US regulatory testing, QA inspection standards and foreign factory management.
- Able to read technical information and disseminate into layman terms along with critical thinking and problem solving.
- Knowledge of trending sustainability programs and compliance for children’s product lines a plus.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
