Citigroup Global Markets Inc. seeks a Data Governance Senior Group Manager for its New York, NY location.
Duties: As an expert in Data Governance, partner with ICG Chief Data Office to enhance Data Governance capabilities. Lead data quality measurement and reporting projects, including critical data element (CDE) identification, remediation, controls, and monitoring. Own relationships between financial data and its use within Citigroup for capital, liquidity, and tax control obligations, as well as between NAICS and client classifications for Basel RWA. Improve data quality through cross-functional collaboration, defining and maintaining business glossary, data dictionary, taxonomy, data lineage, data quality scorecards, policy, and standards. Oversee dependencies across initiatives and map CDEs to appropriate processes, data domains, concepts, and sources. Enforce a consistent data strategy across quality platforms and tools, implement process improvement, and align with Data Maturity Model and Citi Data Management Policy requirements. Execute metadata and data lineage activities, support project planning, and prioritize requirements and activities to deliver on time and within budget. Capture metadata for CDEs and ensure robust documentation and communication of data decisions to business users. Identify opportunities to simplify the execution of the Citi Data Management Policy. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite, in accordance with Citi policy.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Ten (10) years of experience must include: Enhancing Data Governance capabilities, data quality, and data remediation in the financial services industry and for financial products including derivatives, loans, securities financing transactions, and Basel Capital Rules including Risk Weighted Assets (RWA); Applying program management methodologies, frameworks, processes, tools and industry best practices; Applying core Data Governance principles to support data management projects impacting data lineage, data remediation, data tracing, modeling, and metadata; Performing Data Governance and remediation pertaining to Basel, Capital, and RWA related critical data elements (CDEs) including Regulatory Segment and Notional; Handling client, industry and product data attributes commonly used across financial services, including NAICS, Notional, and other Basel, RWA and Capital related CDEs; and Facilitating Steering Committee meetings, project management meetings with business leads, and working group meetings with key stakeholders including Finance, Risk, Operations, IT, Audit, Compliance and Chief Data/Data Governance Officers. 40 hrs./wk.
