Full Time Data Governance Analyst

GCOM and OnCore are looking for candidates to fill the role of Data Governance Analyst to join our team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support source data analysis
- Develop the Data Governance Plan
- Identify master data, help define metadata, and support data model design.
- Establish data quality standards and tasks.
- Develop control structures within a simple environment to ensure the accuracy and quality of data through all upstream and downstream data channels.
- Provide thought leadership and participate with projects that involve any of the upstream or downstream data flows and processes.
- Ensure controls are in place over applications to ensure the data integrity by performing data integrity gap analysis.
- Coordinate the resolution of data integrity gaps by working with the business owners and IT.
- Work with business partners to gather and understand functional requirements, develop complex queries, and provide reports.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of FTE experience within the last ten (10) years in working with data quality and Data Governance platforms, preferably Alation and/or Purview
- Minimum 2 years of FTE experience within the last five (5) years in all the following:
- Developing data models that includes analytical and graph data structures
- Working with master data management solutions and concepts
- Working with data quality & Data Governance tools such as Alation and/or Azure Purview
- Establishing analytics capabilities using technologies such Snowflake, RedShift, or other cloud-based analytics platforms
- Previous experience in database administration or other related fields
- Strong understanding of databases and data structures
- Experience with relational databases, such as MySQL, Oracle, and SQL Server
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- Deadline and detail-oriented
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At GCOM, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $55,000 to $125,000
