Join our campaign to qualify a Los Angeles ballot initiative. Our current approach towards housing solutions is not working. We need more innovation, bolder action, less red tape and bureaucracy. This measure would fund innovative homelessness prevention solutions and more effective approaches to move people off the streets and into housing, including repurposing vacant buildings, more street team engagement, and mental health and substance use treatment services.

Right now, hundreds of millions of dollars are set to be cut from the budget to address homelessness resulting in a dramatic increase in homeless people on the streets. This new measure will replace the prior sales tax and will help protect and maintain mental health treatment, street team engagement, substance use treatment, and other essential services that would otherwise be cut. Now is the time for our community to come together and ensure we have Affordable Housing solutions for all.

We’re urgently hiringData Entry Staff to review petition signatures gathered from Los Angeles voters to put this important initiative on the ballot in 2024! Data staff are paid hourly to work in our office reviewing the signatures collected by petitioners making sure they will count towards the final total needed to put this issue on the ballot next November. Data staff first review petition signatures for completeness and errors and then search voter rolls to make sure each voter was eligible at the time of signing. They evaluate signer eligibility and report back to the campaign how many signatures will count towards the total needed to qualify for the ballot. This is an essential part of making sure this issue is put in front of voters in 2024.

We are hiring immediately, all positions run through Mid-April with possibilities for continued work. Shifts are 11:30am - 5:30pm weekdays and weekends with the possibility to work part-time or full-time. Additional shift times may be offered over the course of the campaign.

Get paid well! Data positions start at $20/hour. We offer overtime pay, paid training, sick pay, and bonuses for friend referrals.

Data Staff Responsibilities:

- Count signature totals and review petition sheets for completeness and errors

- Read signer handwriting and search voter database to confirm eligibility

- Participate in staff training to improve data search and interpretation skills

- Work independently while also in office as part of a team of up to 15 other data staff

- Organize and alphabetize petition sheets

The ideal candidate:

- Passionate about this issue

- Hard worker who will stay motivated even with repetitive tasks

- Interested in building campaign experience

- Culturally competent and able to respectfully engage with teammates and the community

Prior Data Entry experience is_ not required._

Locations: Los Angeles County - Mid Wilshire; San Fernando Valley; Pasadena; Long Beach

• You must be 18 years of age or older to be eligible for hire. Are you 18 years of age or older?
• A key part of the Quality Control Administrator's work is reviewing Petition Signatures to check for errors. This involves being very detail-oriented and taking really good/clear notes of any errors. What experience do you have with detail-heavy administrative work? How comfortable are you with using new apps and programs like google sheets?
