Purpose: Data Coordinator will provide support related to research, evaluation, and data tracking needs and requirements. Responsibilities include program monitoring and support of the Community Development Department’s case management software. This position will also conduct program evaluation, compile community benefits program data, and offers performance improvement suggestions. Assist with data needs of community collaborations and coalitions, as well as support ongoing quality improvement efforts including the hospital’s community health needs assessment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health or related field.
- 2 - 4 years’ experience in community health or social service preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish required.
- High proficiency in all MS office applications and experience setting up and managing database software and applications.
- Knowledge and understanding of data collection and management, basic research techniques and methodologies and use of data analysis software such as “R”.
- Ability to work quickly and independently with minimal guidance or oversight.
- Demonstrated organization, facilitation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement innovative public health and social services based on community need and hospital mission.
- Experience and desire to work with a diverse staff and client population in high-need, urban neighborhoods.
- Ability to work collaboratively within and between hospital departments to support the hospital’s mission.
- Strong grasp of business goals of hospital and able to build relationships with community stakeholders and act strategically in support of reaching business goals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to travel between hospital and multiple program sites
