Department: NU Press Administration Salary/Grade: EXS/5 Job Summary: The Content & Systems Coordinator is part of the NUP Sales and Marketing team and reports to the Sales and Marketing Director. The position maintains NUP's website and central database and ensures the accurate and timely distribution of metadata via Eloquence and media analytics, including Google and social media reporting. Identifies and implements best practices related to the form, use, and timing of metadata distribution to maximize discovery and book sales.

Monitors custom website pages and features as needed. Develops and sustains non-technical user guides and documentation for use in trainings and troubleshooting. Develops and sustains reporting functionality out of Title Management.

The position collaborates with Marketing coordinator to design and create website features and promotions to maximize book sales. Monitors and tracks metrics that provide meaningful feedback for use in future promotions. Analyzes eCommerce sales performance.

Determines and maintains subject category classification. Develops images and video content for NUP promotions, social media, and web - based promotions. Target hiring range for this position will be between $50,000 - $56,000 a year.

Offered salary will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. Specific Responsibilities: Maintains NUP's website and databases and ensures the accurate and timely distribution of metadata via Eloquence. Identifies and implements best practices related to the form, use, and timing of metadata distribution to maximize discovery and book sales.

Collaborates with in-house stakeholders and leadership to define project tasks, scope, milestones, and deliverables that meet stated project objectives on grant funded digital initiatives, integrations, and related digital infrastructure projects. Develops communication plans for messages, updates, and decisions regarding press projects. Typesets biannual seasonal catalog, author flyers, and other assets using EasyCatalog software.

Creates catalog schedule. Implements and communicates digital workflows with production team. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: (Education, experience, and any other certifications or clearances) Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience from which comparable skills can be acquired. Experience in website maintenance, databases, and digital asset management. Minimum Competencies: (Skills, knowledge, and abilities.) In-depth knowledge in ONIX metadata standards and its role in product discovery and associated tools technologies and processes.

Technical understanding of website and digital development process. Proven digital competence across a variety of technologies including coding, emerging and current platforms, and content management systems. Knowledge of digital landscape in scholarly publishing and digital library aggregators.

Understanding of web marketing and ecommerce. Familiarity with online customer experience (UX), search engine marketing and optimization, web analytics and technologies, digital media planning and content/social media management. A strong knowledge and/or experience with the following: Adobe Creative Suite and CMS platforms.
