Data Analyst, High-Profile Federal Research Agency

As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen, lawful resident alien, citizen of American Samoa or other territory owning permanent allegiance to the United States.
The Data Analyst will assist in data acquisition, validation, analysis, and reporting, focusing on key areas relevant to the agency's mission. This role involves supporting the development, testing, and implementation of processes to automate analysis and risk identification in health research and innovation, leveraging technology to identify process efficiency improvements and provide insights and recommendations. This person will be responsible for the development of custom recurring and ad-hoc reports from the applicant tracking system, as well as project management reporting.

Data Analyst, High-Profile Federal Research Agency Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and maintain queries and perform data analytics to isolate anomalies, trends, and insights relevant to health research objectives.
- Utilize tools for data visualization, modeling, data management, and dynamic reporting, with a focus on health research data.
- Participate in the development of scope, objectives, and analysis for a high-profile federal research agency projects.
- Collaborate with the agency's teams on projects, including data requests and analysis for health research initiatives.
- Analyze transactional data and compliance with health research regulations and policies, documenting results.
- Report on continuous assurance related outputs and provide data-driven insights to the agency's management.
- Assist in the evaluation of health research and innovation projects, ensuring maximum return and value for the federal client.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Data Analyst, High-Profile Federal Research Agency Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor's degree in business, statistics, information technology, or a related field, with 2 to 5 years of data analysis or data science experience, preferably in health research or a related field. Master's Degree preferred. Applicant Tracking System reporting management preferred.
- Data analysis scripting (SQL) and programming experience preferred. Certifications or recorded training in data analytics, business analytics, auditing, or process improvement preferred.
- Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Alteryx, VBA, SSRS, Python, Excel, Power BI, and/or Tableau.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to lead analytical studies and projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data in the context of health research mission.
- Knowledge of authoritative and regulatory issues governing health research, IT, and federal contracting.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
