Burton Mill Solutions is seeking a Part-timeFinancial Analyst (8-16 hours per week) to join our team of dedicated employees in our brand-new, state-of-the-art facility in Ridgefield, WA. This position is expected to be a 6-month duration and is a non-benefited position. Come and grow with us!
How You Will Make a Positive Impact:
- Perform analyses of business performance versus budget and forecast and proposes improvement actions. Performs benchmarking of key performance indicators with external and internal peers
- Work with production management team to understand and analyze the drivers of financial performance. Areas of focus may include product costing, production variances, over/under-absorption analysis/inventory analysis, incl. cycle count results
- Perform reconciliations and review of exceptions
- Some plant specific and manufacturing/cost accounting (monthly close, etc.) duties will apply
The Value You Bring:
- At least two years of experience as an accountant, auditor, or computer programmer analyst in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
- Valid CPA or CMA certificate preferred but not required
- Intermediate to advanced math skills (fractions, percentiles, ratios, etc.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Excellent analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing environment
- Thorough understanding of project management
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Excel and financial modeling (Power BI is preferred)
