NOTE: This position will have the option to report to any of our DSB offices. Working out of the King County location will include a 5% pay premium.

The goal of the Washington State Department of Services for the Blind (DSB) is to assist in the stable employment and increased independence of Blind, Deaf Blind and Low Vision customers. DSB provides training, counseling, and support to help Washington residents of all ages, who have a visual disability to pursue employment, education, and independent living. What you will be doing:
As a Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) Data and Quality Assurance Analyst, your primary responsibility will be to meticulously analyze the Vocational Rehabilitation program's adherence to federal regulations outlined in the Rehab Act of 1973 and the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). This role involves modeling the VR program and conducting thorough evaluations to assess its effectiveness and compliance with federal grant requirements. You'll work closely with the Business Systems and Process Improvement Team as well as VR Teams to develop comprehensive responses to internal Quality Assurance reviews. Your duties will encompass identifying and prioritizing staff training needs, spearheading organizational and continuous improvement initiatives, and facilitating effective change management processes. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the program's ongoing success and alignment with federal guidelines. Some of what you'll enjoy doing includes:
- Initiate, conduct, and implement VR program Quality Assurance controls
- Develop and maintain predictive operational models
- Ensure consistent review of internal controls
- Monitor and analyze internal control activities and findings
- Measure program performance against established goals and indicators
- Report findings and make recommendations to program managers and executive team
- Initiate and implement VR program process improvement activities
- Monitor and develop reports for ongoing targeted reviews
- Collaborate among VR team managers and partner with training coordinator for employee development
- Provide support to Case Management System Administrator for issue identification, research, and recommendations
- Assist in evaluating, maintaining, and communicating system documentation and providing training on system design
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree that includes college-level course work in statistics, mathematics, and/or related field(s) that would provide a foundation for understanding the responsibilities of this position; AND
- Three (3) years of experience conducting research and analyzing policies, laws, rules, or regulations.
- Note: A combination of relevant education and experience totaling seven (7) years may substitute for education and/or experience on a year-for-year basis.
- Master's degree in business, mathematics, computer science, or similar field.
- Experience working with complex data systems and writing queries to support ad hoc reports.
- Experience in developing comprehensive data dashboards/metrics that reflect organizational performance.
- Experience with vocational Federal grant reporting or similar Federal reporting.
- Experienced working in and/or leading groups to achieve a desired outcome.
- Knowledgeable in change management principles and methodologies.
