The main purpose of the Data Analyst is to understand, optimize, or redesign technology systems by using combined skills in information technology and business process improvement. This role is a subject matter expert for their area of focus and a pivotal player in relating business needs to product capabilities. Works closely with various technology partners to identify system and process needs, and development requirements, and determine solutions.
What You'll Do:
- Translate business objectives into functional requirements and solution designs.
- Plan, design, implement, and support technology system changes while working closely with Product Owners and business stakeholders.
- Responsible for reviewing project-related business analysis, identifying functional and systems requirements, and preparing specifications to support application development and product implementation.
- Develop queries and user reports to pull and evaluate data. Uses data to identify root cause problems in systems and processes
- Measure system and process performance against requirements. Aligns projects to achieve improvements that close performance shortfalls.
- Analyze project requirements, construct workflow charts and diagrams, determine system capabilities, and assist with writing technical specifications for new application design and enhancements
- Assist management in assessing the degree of risk impact, timeframe, and cost of reengineering required to achieve the desired future state.
- Provides end-user application support.
What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Economics, or Statistics or equivalent experience.
- 1-3 years of experience mining data as a Data Analyst.
- Data Visualization experience is preferred.
- Knowledge and experience working with MS Office Suite, with strong Excel skills.
- Strong SQL and Power BI skills, with an aptitude for learning other analytics tools. Snowflake preferred.
- Proven analytics skills, including mining, evaluation, and visualization.
- Strong understanding of theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey ideas and suggestions via multiple modes of communication.
- Exhibits versatility and adaptability while interacting with customers, suppliers and outsourced relationships.
- Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment.
Where you'll work
This role is open to considering local and remote candidates. Preference for candidates located in Bellevue,WA and Western USA region.
Pay & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $79,370- $123,030. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for incitive pay. Available employee benefits include health, vision, and dental. We also provide 401k matching for retirement and paid time off.
