Bella Ballet, a distinguished dance school situated in the middle of Gaithersburg, is actively looking for an enthusiastic, confident, and motivated Studio Manager to join our exuberant Dance Studio for the upcoming 2023-2024 season! As a Studio Manager, you'll be the one responsible for managing the operations of the studio and making sure that our students and families have a remarkable experience! It is necessary for our Studio Manager to have extraordinary leadership capabilities, stellar communication and organizational competencies, the capacity to multi-task, troubleshoot, and demonstrate professionalism, and initiative in the role and also have a strong background in dance. Your obligations will be shared between the Studio Manager and the dance teacher role during the season.
As a Dance Teacher, you are accountable for teaching and instructing a varied range of students in a range of dance movements and modalities, making sure that all students are invested, motivated, and encouraged to reach their goals. You will provide quality dance instruction to students ages 2-18. The role also includes ensuring that the class runs properly, as well as adjusting techniques, and offering each child one-on-one instruction throughout the session. We require a dance background in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop, plus an uplifting attitude, forming a supportive climate for our dancers. For this role, having teaching and management experience in dance is a must. A Non-Disclosure Agreement and Non-Compete Agreement must be signed once hired. • Ensure the studio environment is clean, organized, and functional.
• Complete various administrative tasks daily.
• Ability to teach using various dance styles and methodologies from beginner to advanced level.
• Develop dance curriculums and prepare lesson plans.
• Ability to communicate with a diverse group of teachers, students, and families.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and organization in a fast-paced environment.
• Engage, encourage, and motivate students to reach their goals.
• Evaluate student performance and make recommendations for improvement.
• Choreograph routines and select music for recitals and concerts.
• Conduct group and private lessons as required.
• Provide a fun and creative environment.
• Keep up to date in your discipline and implement any changes to the dance routines and curriculum as needed.
Qualifications
• Previous teaching experience is required.
• Previous administrative/management experience required.
• Background in dance.
