Cybersecurity Intern

Pay: $20-$22/hr.

40 hours a week

Open to Sophomores and Juniors only in college

10-12 weeks starting in late May 2024

Onsite work in St. Louis MO

Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Intern to join our team. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on critical projects related to website security, risk assessment, and vulnerability management. You’ll collaborate with experienced professionals and gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of cybersecurity.

Responsibilities:
1. Website Information Collection and Documentation:
o Collaborate with cross-functional teams to collect comprehensive information about our corporate websites.
o Document website architecture, technologies used, and potential vulnerabilities.
o Create detailed inventories of web assets, including subdomains, APIs, and third-party integrations.
2. External Attack Surface Management (EASM):
o Assist in developing and implementing processes for continuous discovery and monitoring of our organization’s external attack surface.
o Evaluate attack vectors, including exposed services, domains, and digital footprints.
o Prioritize risks based on impact and likelihood.
3. KPI Development and Reporting:
o Work on defining key performance indicators (KPIs) related to external attack surface management.
o Develop metrics to measure the effectiveness of our security posture.
o Generate regular reports for stakeholders, highlighting areas for improvement and progress.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a degree program related to cybersecurity, computer science, information assurance, or information technology management.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with web technologies, protocols, and security best practices.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
• Passion for learning and contributing to a secure digital environment.
