What You’ll Do:
Ohio Department of Public Safety – Ohio Homeland Security
Report In Location: 1970 W. Broad St. Columbus, Ohio 43223
Work Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
(Currently Hybrid Eligible) Will report into the office 3 days a week and telework 2 days a week. Subject to change.
At the direction of the Ohio Homeland Security (OHS) Education & Outreach Unit Manager, serve as a Regional Coordinator & technical advisor for statewide education & outreach for all OHS cybersecurity programs; Develop & implement the statewide Cybersecurity Liaison Officer (CLO) Program & administer the CLO program statewide (e.g., develop program mission & vision; process program documentation such as nomination & application forms; review & establish program prerequisites; maintain electronic databases; etc.); Assist with planning, scheduling, & conducting workshops; Assist with writing &/or updating lesson plans, presentations & brochures for CLO seminars &/or workshops; Coordinate logistics & speakers; Travel to various locations statewide to attend meetings &/or provide training (e.g., create & deliver presentations; develop, promote, &/or deliver informational products on OHS cybersecurity outreach programs & the partner programs such as OCRI, O-PCI, OhCR; etc.) to law enforcement agencies, information technology/security departments, emergency management agencies, & various homeland security & critical infrastructure sector leaders (i.e. state, regional, &/or county committees, local law enforcement taskforces, partnership boards &/or commissions); Act as a liaison between information technology/security departments, law enforcement agencies, county Emergency Management Agency (EMA) Directors, & various other homeland security sector leaders (e.g., banking, agriculture, shipping, etc.) statewide; Communicate & collaborate with various community organizations to educate & promote OHS cyber activities & priorities; Create & deliver various presentations at local organizations such as Chambers of Commerce, County Commissioners, Utility commissions, etc.; Support cybersecurity/homeland security needs in each region & provide findings & recommendations to the appropriate offices (i.e., Cyber Center, Infrastructure Protection, Grants, Law Enforcement Operations, Ohio School Safety Center, Statewide Terrorism Analysis & Crime Center (STACC), Ohio Cyber Reserve, OCRI, CyberOhio, etc.); Collaborate with statewide cybersecurity partners to formulate & implement sophisticated &/or complex cybersecurity related policies & procedures.
Manage & update cybersecurity related information on OHS website & on the Communication & Information Management System (CIMS); Respond to requests for information & provide guidance to new partners; Research, collect, & collaborate with CLOs & local, state & federal cybersecurity partners to gather information to create newsletters; Support various OHS programs; Perform other related duties as assigned.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT REQUIRED TO REMAIN IN THE CLASSIFICATION AFTER EMPLOYMENT:
If required, must obtain LEADS certification; must renew LEADS certification biannually. Additionally, some positions at Department of Public Safety must be able to obtain & maintain secret level federal security clearance.
UNUSUAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
May require some travel. Working hours will include nights, weekends and holidays, based on operational need.
This position may be filled by lay-off or certification eligibility list if applicable.
Position also requires the ability to obtain and maintain a federal Secret level Security Clearance
Requires valid driver's license to operate state-owned vehicle or must be able to provide own transportation.
A BCI and FBI fingerprint check, a background check, including a polygraph examination, may be required on all selected applicants.
A comparative analysis and/or drug-test may be a requirement of the hiring process.
