Position Title: Senior Programs Outreach and Activities Coordinator
Position Impact and Purpose…
The Senior Programs Outreach and Activities Coordinator will work closely with the Senior & Transportation Director, Senior Programs Director, and Mobility Management Specialist. They will oversee a comprehensive recruitment, community outreach, and Activities program to support the services provided at the Pike County Senior Center.
Essential Functions…
Functional Area: Outreach and Activities Coordination Estimated Effort: 50%
Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations
· Act as a lead, coordinating with Senior Programs Manager, in the development and management of activities, events, and recruitment of Senior Center member.
· Responsible for implementing/managing strategies and projects for marketing, advertising, and fundraising in order to meet organizational plans and goals within budgets and timelines.
· Maintain Senior Programs website and social media in order to provide information and to assist with program goals.
· Develop Senior Programs flyers and brochures for activities, events, and services.
· Prepare yearly Outreach and fundraising plans.
· Act as a representative of the Senior & Transportation Programs at event, activities, meetings, etc.
· Develop and nurture key relationships with the community to facilitate support for programs and fundraising activities.
Functional Area: Administrative Service Estimated Effort: 40%
Responsibilities, Deliverables, Outcomes and Expectations
· Maintain accurate / detailed records and submit time reports as directed. Handle confidential information in a professional manner.
· Maintain files and/or verification of eligibility for Senior Programs including, but not limited to, PASSPORT, Congregate Meals, Home-Delivered Meals, IIIB Transportation and CSBG.
· Conduct quarterly outreach contacts and surveys with clients and members, analyze and present data to Senior Programs Manager.
· Coordinate, schedule, and maintain contracts for all Senior Center rentals.
· Create and maintain the Golden Oldies Newsletter.
· Assist Senior Programs staff with clerical duties as needed and assigned.
· Schedule, attend, record minutes, and conduct follow-up for Senior Advisory Council meetings.
· Provide input and/or develop policies and procedures and policy and procedures updates.
· Act as back-up and provide coverage for Senior Programs Manager and Senior Programs Assistant, as needed and assigned.
Functional Area: Agency Service Estimated Effort: 10%

· CAC Committee assignments, and other agency service duties as assigned.
· Serves as representative of CAC on assigned outside committees as deemed appropriate.
· Liaison between clients and the Senior Programs.
Minimum Requirements…
Education:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Job-Related Experience:
Minimum 3 years of experience in marketing, advertising, or recruitment.
Minimum 3 years of experience in fundraising and/or event planning.
Computer literacy and intermediate level knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Publisher, and Outlook.
People Management Experience:
Friendly, professional, and courteous demeanor.
Licenses, Certifications, and Accreditations:
No licenses, certifications, or accreditations required for this position.
Preferred Qualifications…
· Bachelors degree in communications, marketing, business administration, social sciences, or related field.
· Preference given to individuals with experience serving a non-profit or social services agency.
· Preference given to individuals with experience working with senior programs or the senior population.
Working Conditions…
· Work is fast paced and involves multiple, sometimes competing priorities along with the management of complex project details. Subject to high pressure situations and independent work.
· Occasional evening and weekend travel/work is required.
