Cut Flower Sales Assistant

Overview:
We are looking for a reliable, outgoing and upbeat professional to assist our current sales staff with regular customer communications and product sales. This role would include learning product varieties and care, the pulling and packing of orders, order entry, communications with customers, and assisting with the sorting and receiving of incoming product.

The ideal candidate for this position will be friendly, outgoing and won't be flustered by a fast-paced work environment. This is also a service position, so good customer relation skills are essential. This Cut Flower Sales Assistant job will work out of our Tacoma distrubtion center. Prior experience within the floral industry is preferred but not required.

We operate as a small close-knit team, with everone pitching in to assist with whatever needs doing. This will mean lots more then just assisting customers; you'll be doing a little of everything, including pulling orders, packing product, stocking the cooler and assisting co-workers with various tasks.

Responsibilities:
- Greeting customers
- Assisting customer with flowers and greens, giving advice as needed
- Accepting inbound phone calls from customers, taking orders and answering questions
- New customer outreach and acquisition
- Assisting with outbound sales calls to customers
- Filling customer orders
- General problem and complaint resolution as needed
- Assisting customers with returns or credits

- Maintaining paperwork in an organized manner

Requirements:
- General computer skills
- Good phone skills and manners
- Excellent attention to detail
- Effective customer communication skills effectively in English
- Ability to work to deadline
- Ability and willingness to multitask

- This is a physical position - ability to stand for long periods, lift and carry sometimes heavy boxes

Work Schedule: This position would be full time, Sunday - Friday with a day off during the week and Saturday off.
