About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Trainee. In this role you will undergo training to become proficient in various NDT methods, assist NDT personnel in the inspection of articles, and assist MRO technicians in the maintenance of aircraft components.

Billings Flying Service (BFS) is a solutions provider for the aviation industry, specializing in CH-47 aerial firefighting and heavy lift services. The BFS fleet of CH-47Ds, UH-60A, and Bell 206L are capable of fighting wildfires by either bucket or tank. Our MRO shop has a constantly increasing capabilities list. BFS strives to support all aspects of MRO support for our fleet and customers.
Requirements
What You'll Do
• Acquire theoretical and hands on training in different NDT methods, including Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing,
Eddy Current Testing and Ultrasonic Testing.
• Learn to conduct NDT inspections on various materials and components according to established procedures and
standards
• Assist NDT and Field Personnel during NDT inspections.
• Assist in the setup, calibration, and maintenance of NDT equipment.
• Assist MRO Technicians during the maintenance of aircraft components.
Your Required Qualifications
• Must be able to read and write English.
• Must pass airport security background checks and travel for work as required.
• Must pass vision test with or without corrective lenses.
• Must have good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Must be highly detail oriented.
• Strong interest in science, material properties and engineering concepts.
• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Frequently lift / push / carry items up to 50 pounds.
. Employees performing maintenance or safetly-related functions for the 145 Operator will be on a FAA-approved
"Anti Drug Program"
