Job description

We're looking for an amazing Analyst, Customer Systems QA to fill this role. You'll be responsible for translating business specifications to ensure the development of effective testing plans and test cases for functional and regression User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for multiple web based customer facing platforms. UAT to include the development, coding and execution of automated test scripts using the Gherkin programming language. This position may also partner with developers and business teams to communicate bugs identified within the web analytics implementation, as well as provide ideas on how to improve the solutions for optimized data testing. Position analyses test results and provides analytic reporting and tracking and assists with troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Supports agile development teams (SCRUM) for Web, Booking Engine, Air, POLAR Vision and princess.com. Serve as subject matter experts (SME) and dedicated coordinator for User Acceptance Testing (UAT). Provide analysis support on numerous web tracking and feedback tools.
  • Performs super user system support for commercial and operations departments, web elements that are served through Launch, travel agency partners and vendors for system issues impacting Princess, Cunard, CUK, CAU and Carnival Asia offices. Systems supported include but not limited to, POLAR, POLAR Vision, Siebel (CRM, Telemarketing, Analytics) CRS/GDS systems, over 50 API partnerships, web booking tools including Polar Online, OneSource, princess.com, Universal Booking Engine (UBE), EZair , Cruise Personalizer and SharePoint. Maintain an effective working relationship with all brands utilizing shared systems, IT business analysts, programmers and developers.
  • Develops automated test using the Gherkin programming language and perform functional and regression testing. Verify functionality according to expected results and system requirements.
  • Translates business requirements and designs specifications into test requirements. Create and maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases including test timelines and prioritization of testing activities.
  • Conducts non-automated User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for web analytics tracking implementation and AB test configuration for web-based customer facing systems and for non-web-based customer facing systems. Coordinate and collaborate on testing of system changes with various departments/department heads for all brands on POLAR to ensure business goals are clearly understood and satisfied  and ensure business goals are clearly understood and satisfied. Create test plans/scripts including regression test plans for all changes. Document all test results within SOX guidelines. Initiate and provides information and support to the Training department in the development of training tools for users impacted by the system enhancement/change.
  • Analyzes test results; assists with troubleshooting and Root Cause Analysis.
  • Participates in Pre-System (POLAR) release analysis and coordination.  Provide support. To the business analysts and relevant department heads by providing input and reviewing business specification documents. Participate in cross functional I.T. teams providing user experience expertise.
  • Own ObservePoint (tag governance platform). Work with business owner and developers to map out and create web journeys to ensure tracking breakages are caught quickly.
  • Creates and maintains ad hoc reports and analysis utilizing Adobe Analytics, Power BI and the Data Warehouse and/or the Selenium web testing tool for various departments.


Requirements

  • Associates degree, Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
  • 3 years of experience in Travel Industry.
  • 2 year in either Help Desk, Groups, Customer Relations or Commercial Support.
  • QA scores over 90% for the most recent 6-month period.
  • 3 years of experience with job progression at HAGroup.
  • 2 years in either Help Desk, Groups, Customer Relations or Commercial Support roles.
  • A general understanding User Acceptance Testing (UAT) processes.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skill.
  • Must also be able to work in a structured environment.
  • Experience with MS Word and Excel at an intermediate skill level, as well MS TEAMS.
  • Proven ability to work independently.
  • Ability to quickly learn multiple system applications.
  • 3 years of experience using POLAR reservations system.
  • 3 years of experience using Siebel system.
  • Experience in functional testing of web analytics and data collection solutions (e.g. Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, etc.)
  • Experience with Power BI including building data queries and providing meaningful analysis.
  • Solid reasoning and analytic skills.
  • Knowledge of the Web presentation layer, business and data access layers and their interactions.
  • Solid knowledge of common desktop and mobile browser technology.

  • Solid understanding of Web based project test methodology, test environments, bug life cycle, and frequent code release deployment support.
  • Ability to present/communicate analysis and test results to co-workers and stakeholders.

  • Recognized by management as a team role model.
  • 1 year of experience in cross brand collaboration.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Princess is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visas at this time (e.g., H-1B status).

  • Base Hourly Range: $20.29 to $27.40. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
