Iowa Veterinary Specialties has an exciting opportunity for a full-time, professional Client Service Representative (CSR) / Receptionist at our busy, 24-hour, 7 day a week, emergency & specialty animal hospital.
At this time, IVS currently has a full-time, daytime shift opening. Hours would be between 7 AM - 7 PM, Monday-Friday, with rotating weekends.

- As an IVS CSR, you would have the opportunity to work in direct cooperation with our skilled emergency team to provide service to all IVS clients.
- This position also assists all other departments as needed.
- Our exceptional CSRs are responsible for providing best client care by addressing client needs, ensuring the highest standards of Customer Service are met, and making sure that we are exceeding all expectations.
- Excellent communication skills, math skills, phone etiquette, compassion with difficult cases, and digital correspondence are required of our CSRs.
- Our CSRs are known for and expected to show the utmost professionalism when facilitating client transactions and when responding to client questions and complaints.
- As a skill set, our CSR / Receptionists exhibit important qualities such as active listening, empathy, problem-solving and communication.
- Working at the front of the house, our CSRs are responsible for the initial intake of emergency patients and obtaining accurate client information.
- Reception duties include communicating with client/referring veterinarians, discussing legal documents with clients, collecting payments, and ensuring cleanliness of the lobby and exam rooms.
- IVS CSRs must adhere to all IVS policies and report to Hospital Administration.
- This position is under the direction of the Operations Director.
