Department: Parts

Reports to: Parts Manager / Site Manager or Corporate Parts Manager

Supervises: None

Purpose:

Generate new business. Build customer relationships by traveling to customer locations, parts and service sales, perform follow-up activities on complete goods, address customer concerns, promote aftermarket sales, furnish technical support where applicable and collect profiling information in order to enhance the customer experience.

Responsibilities:

o Runs a routine parts delivery route to customers providing value and support to customers

o Sells and Markets parts and service sales such as extended warranties, parts stocking plans, maintenance plans, machine inspections, overhauls, standard job quotes, and special monthly parts promotions working with parts and service managers

o Performs follow-up calls at customer locations on complete goods and major parts and service

o Addresses customer concerns and resolves problems effectively and satisfactorily

o Profiles customer’s and his machines creating fleet lists to store in business system and demographic information

o Participates in product presentations at customer clinics, pre-Expo Meetings, John Deere Days and meetings held outside the dealership

o Provides limited technical support where applicable or requested by management

Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:

o 2+ years’ experience in an agricultural or turf related role with involvement in activities such as sales, service, training or other related work

o Excellent customer relationship skills

o Ability to write and speak effectively to individuals and groups

o Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions

o Parts Educate - Required to have 20 credits per year of John Deere training as well as training requested by their Parts Manager

o High School Diploma or equivalent experience
