Tyler Animal Emergency Hospital is looking for a front Desk Receptionist to join our team.
As the first person our clients see and talk to, the front Desk Receptionist is a vital individual that supports the veterinarian office by maintaining a calm and professional demeanor, performing everyday necessary tasks (as outlined below), and helping to maintain the cleanliness of the facility.

CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Greeting clients and gathering information upon arrival
- Identify and work compassionately with clients in various emotional states
- Managing record requests between other hospitals and specialty practices
- Input client and patient information into system (Avimark)
- Relay appropriate information to/from clients to doctors and/or management
- Answering phone calls and handling as appropriate
- Collecting payment from clients and preparing end of day deposit
- Assist in cleaning the hospital including but not limited to keeping reception desk area, bathrooms, exam rooms and break room when needed
- Computer skills: Able to use windows-based computer systems, word processing, email, web search and other skills needed to effectively use the practice management software program
- Send out sympathy cards as needed
- Other duties as assigned by doctors or management
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Intermediate computer/technology proficiency
- Personable, empathetic disposition
- Capacity to work well during distressing situations
- Able to be on your feet for hours at a time
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Able to spend a good amount of time in front of a computer screen
- Able to read and understand English
The receptionist work schedule includes:
Rotating Schedule #1- 4 on, 4 off.
- Weekday (M-F) hours: 4pm-2am
- Weekend (Sat/Sun) hours: 10am-12am
