Customer Service Representative

Doctor's Data, Inc. has a full time position opening as a Customer Service Representative on our day shift (9:00 -5:30) M-F. This individual will communicate with customers to assist as needed in a positive and professional manner. In addition, the Customer Service Representative will act as a liaison between our customers and other departments in our laboratory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Speak with customers by phone and receive orders for service
• Respond promptly and accurately to requests both orally and written
• Effectively explain laboratory tests and collection procedures
• Demonstrate proper telephone techniques and etiquette
• Timely follow up on requests from clients
• Contact clients and patients to clarify information
• Liaise with other departments who have customer contacts (clinical education, sales, accounting, shipping/receiving and the lab) to assure that customers are being handled properly.
• Effectively meet deadlines
• Promotes the sale of services
• Able to handle difficult customers and deal with conflict
• Able to multitask and handle multiple priorities at a time
• Other duties as assigned by manager

Education and/or Experience:

Requires 1) a high school diploma or equivalent and 1 year experience in providing Customer Service or experience in a laboratory or medical environment; or 2) an associate’s degree and 6 months experience in providing Customer Service or experience in a laboratory or medical environment; or 3) a bachelor’s degree in a communication, business or medical program.

• Professional telephone communication skills and demeanor
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Excellent problem solving skills, including basic math and the ability to effectively carry out written and oral instructions.
• Reliable work attendance
• Ability to effectively use available resources to successful complete job duties and responsibilities

Training schedule: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM approximately 30 days

Work Schedule after training has completed: Monday- Friday 9:00 AM- 5:30 PM
