Job Description
E.J. Basler Co, a high-volume precision machine shop in Schiller Park, IL, is actively looking for a highly motivated individual with a customer-focused mindset to join our growing team as a Customer Service Representative. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring exceptional service to our valued customers, promoting positive brand experiences, and contributing to overall customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phone calls, emails, and inquiries from customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Quote pricing, take orders, track delivery and order status, and expedite deliveries when necessary.
- Provide minor technical support and resolve customer complaints or problems efficiently.
- Process incoming orders, modify existing orders, or cancel orders according to established procedures.
- Assign returned goods accounts for products returned to the regional office.
- Prepare and mail product literature, manuals, and catalogs upon customer request.
- Provide administrative and clerical support, including preparing mail, reports, billings, vouchers, and correspondence, filing, and copying.
- Maintain accurate and organized customer and office files.
- Receive and distribute incoming mail and faxes and prepare outgoing mail for pick-up.
- Utilize personal computers and other common office equipment proficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Strong reasoning and mathematical skills, including the ability to perform basic calculations and use decimals.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, can effectively present information to customers and colleagues.
- Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Highly organized, adaptable, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Windows environment, including Excel and basic database management skills.
