Job Description: Guys and Dollies is looking for a friendly, patient, and thorough individual to handle phone calls, texts, emails, and tasks pertaining to scheduling, payments, and general customer inquiries.

About Guys and Dollies: Guys and Dollies is a storage, shipping, and moving service that helps college students manage their belongings while away from school. We strive for a friendly and helpful workplace where employees are encouraged to make suggestions and are in regular contact with our small management team. Our entire company is unified in helping students and parents understand service options and maintaining frequent communication with customers throughout the service. Across all positions, we are focused on reducing colleagues’ workloads through clear communication and thoughtful customer interaction.

What Makes This Position Unique: The seasonal nature of our company means that the responsibilities of this position and working hours change throughout the year. Our representatives are busier during the beginning and end of the school year, and we only have limited positions during the middle of the summer.

About The Role: Representatives will receive hands-on training regarding the services offered by Guys And Dollies and how to assist customers with those services. Tasks include but are not limited to assisting customers create accounts, requesting supplies, estimating costs, scheduling arrival windows, reviewing and paying invoice, understanding service options, and adjusting account information. We want every customer who reaches out to us to receive helpful and honest assistance and expect our representatives to strive toward that goal.

Position Requirements: The most important consideration is that applicants have good availability (30-50+hrs/week) between 4/22/24-5/3/24 and 8/5/24-8/25/24. We can work around finals and class schedules for student applicants. We also will prefer applicants that are available in the weeks leading up to these periods. Preference may also be given to applicants who will be able to also work in future seasons.

You will often be the first point of contact for customers interested in our service, so we are looking for someone encouraging and comfortable making a brief sales pitch. Applicants must be able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively, and work independently or with a team. Applicants should feel confident in their ability to learn procedures quickly and record details reliably.

Minimum Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent
• Prior Customer Service experience is preferred, but not required
• A vehicle is not required, but reliable transportation is required

Skills and Abilities

• Good communication and writing skills
• Detail-oriented
• Warm and friendly on the phone
• Ability to keep smiling while dealing with difficult customers (on the phone)
• Strong typing skills (at least 50 words/minute)
• Basic computer knowledge
• Can do basic tasks without a lot of instruction
