Customer Service Representative - Parts

What is the job about?  

The Customer Service Representative - Parts will act as the key conduit of information between the customer and the factory. The CSR will be responsible for quoting, scheduling, expediting, instruction, and processing customer parts orders throughout the manufacturing process. The position utilizes the forecast to plan and purchase material. Will use available resources to assign a delivery date and follow the order through manufacturing until shipment. The ultimate goal is to realize the on-time delivery of the equipment within the specified lead times. This position will report directly to the Customer Service Supervisor and will operate daily out of the Indianapolis, Indiana office in a hybrid function. Relocation for this position cannot be supported and qualified candidates must have authorization to work in the USA without support.    

Your main responsibilities:  

• Act as a single point of contact for all information pertaining to customer quotes and orders for assigned accounts.
• Gather information related to customer requests and develop an accurate response that exceeds the customer's expectations.
• Communicate with both technical and non-technical resources within the factory to obtain the information necessary to address customer questions and concerns.
• Initiate corrective actions using information gathered from customer complaints.
• Follows standard work instructions and adheres to established terms and conditions of sale.
• Works on projects (short and long term) that support the overall parts and aftermarket strategy.           

Your background 

We imagine that you have:   

• 1-3 Years of Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of mechanical equipment (motors, engines, pumps, etc.).
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Relevant college degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with attention to detail and demonstrated ability to use proper grammar and spelling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent critical reasoning skills.
• Strong technical aptitude.
• Experience using ERP Systems (SAP preferred).
• Proficiency with standard MS Office programs.
• Highly organized, self-starter that can work with little direct supervision.
• Ability to make sound decisions when needed.            
• The ability to operate daily out of the Indianapolis Indiana officein a hybrid function.
