POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for overall management of customer account from time of coil arrival through order shipment, including quotations, order entry, customer assistance, and the general status of order from initiation to completion. Document on time deliveries + order entry turnaround for monthly metrics. Maintain positive customer relations and service with internal and external customers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsible for the general status from start to finish of order from time order is received to the time the product is shipped to customer.
Manages the preparation and entry of all customer orders and forecasts with a goal of 100% satisfaction.
Assists in the development of product specifications for customers regarding the creation of new customer accounts to support order entry and shipment.
Keeps customers and appropriate sales reps updated of order status, quality concerns, and potential delivery problems that may arise.
Participates in scheduling meetings and assists in prioritizing production schedules based on customer requirements.
Monitors HFI's and customer complaints & claims and coordinates problem resolution with quality assurance when necessary.
Monitors and manages customer inventory levels to support 100% on time delivery while balancing optimum inventory levels.
Reviews customer inventory, open orders + line time to provide for efficient production schedules and runs.
Fields questions and inquiries from customers (and prospective customers) and provides assistance in initial sales work (especially as it involves the evaluation of potential target accounts).
Works with sales to apply special charge invoices outside of quoted terms.
Provides timely/accurate monthly forecasts based on open orders, historical trends, direct communication with customers and MSC sales force.
Works with customer and sales to maintain zero disputed and past due accounts receivables.
Assists in developing and maintaining formal procedures in accordance with IATF 16949.
Works with shipping department on freight quotes for shipments to customers.
Light travel required.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Acts in accordance with IATF 16949 guidelines as they apply to Customer Service and related elements in IATF 16949.
Inform appropriate Sales Manager of account activity when necessary.
Apply initiative to create new or improved methods of customer satisfaction and other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's Degree preferred.
Must possess above average communication and organizational skills.
Good planning and follow up skills.
1 to 2 years' work experience within Customer Service or Sales function.
Manufacturing experience required. Experience with metal, paints, chemicals, or film preferred.
Knowledge and experience with the use of ERP or MRP2 systems preferred.
Basic understanding of MS Office products and ability to use these tools on a daily basis.

Pay: $28.85 - $31.25 per hour
