Job Summary
The Customer ServiceRepresentative Level I Inventory Specialist is a hybrid position working 50% of time in Customer Service department and 50% of time in Inventory Control department. This position will learn and utilize the inventory and Customer Service processing software. Concurrently daily they will research, respond, and resolve incoming Customer Service emails, help desk customer tickets, and answer inbound customer phone calls for assistance. They will create work orders for assembly staff and monitor component levels. The Customer ServiceRepresentative Level I Inventory Specialist will have assigned inventory entry and Customer Service tasks while working independently within a team environment.
Essential Functions
- Perform support functions for inventory to include filing, completing double checks on completed assemblies, doing sporadic stock counts, and creating tags, labels, and bar codes for assembly staff.
- Create file folders and bar codes for new courses that are Packs and SKUs.
- Order all in-house manufactured components for inventory product.
- Enter purchase orders in appropriate database and create corresponding receivers for items made in Human Kinetics' mail center.
- Provide support function for annual physical inventory.
- Monitor, assess, and download all key code information required for courses.
- Professionally and efficiently answer inbound customer calls coming in directly or through multiple phones loops and make outbound customer calls as needed.
- Consistently create web help desk tickets in ticket tracking software from direct customer contact via phone or emails. These web help desk tickets record customer issues and resolutions which are used for internal analysis, tracking, and for providing customer support.
- Utilize all Customer Service online backend tools to research, respond, and resolve incoming internal and external Customer Service emails, help desk customer tickets, and answer inbound customer calls from a call queuing system.
- Demonstrate effectiveness in navigating new and existing Human Kinetics online customer content delivery platforms and Customer Service support online backend tools to research, respond, and resolve customer issues. Adheres to established procedures, meets accuracy rates and timeframes for completion of tasks expected for both departments.
Secondary Functions
- Assemble Pack and SKUs from components and other Packs.
- Serve as backup for RIS entry for Inventory Manager/Customer Service Representative
- Participate in the annual departmental fiscal year-end processes.
- Maintain the organization of both online and hardcopy filing systems for personal and company information.
- Develop a strong Human Kinetics product knowledge base including cultivating a working knowledge of Human Kinetics websites, Human Kinetics electronic content delivery platforms, becoming familiar with products, and reviewing marketing materials.
- Perform varied tasks for both departments that may be assigned on an ad hoc or regular basis.
Job Qualifications
Education: High School diploma/equivalent or higher required.
Experience: Alpha numeric data entry experience required. 1-year Alpha numeric data entry experience preferred.
