Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and initiative-taking Customer Service Representative to support independent insurance agents with their life and annuity case management. This position is responsible processing client applications for accuracy and completeness; submitting to appropriate carrier or upline and following up with both carrier and agents on policy requirements to resolve all issues to ensure policies are issued in a timely manner. The ideal candidate has an attention to detail with excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents and assist them with processing new business.
Responsibilities
- Review, analyze, troubleshoot, and process incoming life and annuity applications.
- Make outbound & take inbound calls with existing agents to follow-up on missing information, policy requirements, or service-related issues.
- Daily monitoring of all underwriting communication providing timely and relevant responses on pending cases and outstanding issues to ensure timely placement of policies.
- Accurately update our database with application and case status details.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with independent agents.
- Understand and promote available technology and resources for our agents to assist in increasing their production.

- Participate in ongoing training and development to improve skills and knowledge of our products and services.
- 1-2 years experience in a processing role. Experience in the insurance industry a plus.
- Ability to grasp concepts quickly and comfortably working in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly accountable; takes ownership and drives sense of urgency while providing very detail-oriented, accurate, high quality and quantity of work output.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and etiquette.
- Highly proficient computer skills with experience utilizing data entry and work-flow management systems as well as Microsoft Office Suite of products.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, adaptability to changing business environments, and the ability to appropriately prioritize daily tasks and objectives.
