Job description – Technical Manager
A) Job Summary
We require candidates from Fertilizers or Specialty chemicals field. The position will be under the Marketing Department, and the main responsibility is to oversee domestic and international technical sales of our products to the fertilizer mines, phosphoric acid plants, fertilizer granulation plants, NPK Blends plants and terminals. Experience required: Min. 5-7 years. Candidates located in fertilizer manufacturing regions/cities will be preferred.
B) Responsibilities and Duties
- To check all the potential fertilizer industries/clients in the region. Make a plan to contact & visit them. Present the Company & its products portfolio.
- Understand the customer’s requirements, fill out the questionnaires during the fertilizer plant visit, and communicate to our Plant/Operations Head.
- On receipt of the technical recommendations for the treatment/products to be offered, present the products/solutions to the customer/fertilizer plant.
- Explain the technical superiority of NAQ’s products, convince & negotiate, and close the deals with the customers.
- Help & check the correct applications of our products, and provide tech service to the fertilizer industry to get the desired results and customer satisfaction.
- Making weekly task lists in advance and submitting daily/weekly updates of the customers to the management.
- Inform any important news/update in the fertilizer industry/market.
D) Key Skills
Strong knowledge of fertilizer chemistry, processing, and mining.
A logical and independent mind, meticulous attention to details and accuracy.
Customer focused, good teamwork and interpersonal skills, with flexibility and communication skills in different languages. Available for domestic and international trips.
E) Required Experience and Qualifications Requires a Degree in Chemistry/Chemical Engineering. An additional degree/MBA in Mktg/Mgmt is also preferred.
- Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in fertilizers or specialty chemicals industry.
