Interact with customers to provide information in response to inquiries about products, orders, billing, and services. Must also be able to resolve and handle customer and consumer complaints.
Essential Functions:
Receives customers’ requests by telephone or email, analyzes requests, and provides information requested back to the customer and various inside departments. Analyzes orders, corrects records, and adjust records. Trace’s status of orders through current company system. Takes orders from customers and enters them into internal system. Mails catalogues, samples, and similar data to customers as requested. Has knowledge of product line, delivery time, drop ship items, and cancel dates. Prepares paperwork for returns and replacements on problem orders and orders not received. Work with Customer Service manager to ensure proper Customer Service is being delivered.
Additional responsibilities:
Provides switchboard relief as needed. Performs other duties as assigned by the Customer Service manager. Able to work overtime, including weekends, when needed.
Skills required:
Able to work with all Microsoft office products.
Experience and background:
Two to three years’ experience within an office setting in the Customer Service arena. Pleasant telephone voice/manner, ability to operate office equipment and systems sufficiently to perform the job. Ability to compose correspondence to customers and internal departments. Must be able to work in a fast pace environment. Must be able to multi-task different assignments. Able to respond to customer complaints and issues in a professional and timely manner. Fast learner.
Education:
High school education or equivalent.
