The Customer Service Representative (CSR) supports the Banks Customer Service model by providing exceptional Customer Service. Responsibilities include opening new accounts, explaining available financial institution products and services, gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts and assist with teller duties.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This position performs the following duties, including but not limited to:
- Provides a complete range of Customer Services at the financial institution, including opening new accounts, explaining available financial institution products and services and gathering customer information to process new and existing accounts.
- Utilize the 7-Step Sales process daily.
- Actively participates in meeting sales and cross-sales goals for the branch.
- Proactively prospects for new business.
- Researches and resolves customer inquiries regarding deposit accounts.
- Prepares and maintains account paperwork, including signature cards, check orders and automatic transfers.
- Receives deposits and ensures that all accounts are properly processed.
- Participates in sales, service and product training meetings.
- Represents the financial institution at Gold Club functions.
- Represents the financial institution in community affairs and civic organizations.
- Performs other duties, including teller duties, as assigned by supervisor.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Six months to one year experience in a financial institution preferred, but not required.
- Good sales, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively communicate with customers about the banks deposit accounts and policies.
- Ability to learn and follow bank policies regarding new deposit accounts.
- Good computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and other common PC-based software.
