We are currently looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable HME (Home Medical Equipment) Support Specialist to join our team. As an HME Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive support to our customers and healthcare professionals who utilize our home medical equipment, products and services. Your main responsibilities will include addressing inquiries, providing troubleshooting assistance, and delivering technical support to ensure a seamless customer experience. Your expertise in HME products, excellent communication skills, and commitment to customer satisfaction will greatly contribute to the overall success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Verify all aspects of the order to ensure services are not rendered without proper verification.
Gather and assemble all necessary documentation in the correct order for customer files.
Demonstrate proficiency in entering all mandatory fields in the customer computer file.
Practice strict adherence to infectious disease control protocols.
Process cash transactions accurately and in compliance with established protocols, including attention to item taxation.
Adhere to all HIPAA, HQAA, and Compliance rules and regulations.
Assist in loading and unloading customer vehicles as requested.
Coordinate deliveries with the service department as needed.
Participate in HIPAA and other compliance training programs.
Conduct accurate measurements for fitting compression garments, if certified as a fitter.
Conduct fitting of post mastectomy products, if certified as a fitter.
Ensure regular attendance at work, as it is essential for the smooth operation of our services.
Attend educational workshops as required or assigned.
Perform any other duties assigned by management.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proven experience in providing support or Customer Service, preferably in the medical equipment industry.
In-depth knowledge of home medical equipment products and services a plus.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and effectively.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
Familiarity with HIPAA and compliance regulations is highly desirable.
Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate effectively with colleagues and customers.
Physical ability to lift and move heavy equipment when necessary.
