Tesla’s growing portfolio of flexible behind-the-meter technologies and innovative Customer Programs are unlocking exciting new opportunities for two-way participation with the grid and accelerating the transition to sustainable energy. These Customer Programs require administration and support as they grow.
As a Customer Program Operations Specialist at Tesla, you will oversee multiple workstreams linked to our Virtual Power Plant (VPP) and Retail Electricity programs. Within this role, you will oversee automated and manual procedures connected to customer registration, billing, and payment management. Our ideal candidate would be concentrated on managing the day-to-day operations of retail power sales in Texas, as well as supporting other North American VPP programs.
What You’ll Do
  • Administer automated and manual processes for managing customer enrollment, billing, and payments for Tesla's Virtual Power Plant and Retail Electricity programs
  • Manage workflows containing large volumes of requests and continuously optimize processes to protect customer experiences
  • Monitor and administer automated workflows for program enrollment, handle exceptions, and coordinate with external partners
  • Handle customer escalations and partner with customer support and business stakeholders
  • Monitor and administer workflows for customer billing and payments, handle exceptions, and resolve non-routine customer issues
  • Monitor and resolve issues with market integration and exceptions
  • Serve as the operations expert and provide necessary reporting for continuous improvement and compliance
What You’ll Bring
  • 1-3 years of process management work experience with a preference for ERCOT experience or familiarity with North American VPP programs
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams related to Tesla’s Virtual Power Plant and Retail Electricity programs
  • Proficiency in administering both manual and automated processes for customer enrollment, billing and payments
  • Strong focus on the operations of retail sales of electricity in Texas and support for other North American VPP programs
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage large volumes of requests
  • Proactive approach to identifying and implementing workflow improvements to enhance customer experiences
  • Capability to quantify and monitor workflow efficiency and automate workflows where possible
