Job Summary:

Provides routine and special cleaning services throughout the OSF facilities: performs special jobs of the errand type. Performs other duties as assigned by the Custodial Supervisor and/or Associate Director of Facilities. This position is a union represented position.
Pay range: $18.00 to $21.75/h

The Oregon Shakespeare Festival (OSF) was founded in 1935 in Ashland, OR, and has grown from a three-day festival of two plays to a nationally renowned theatre arts organization that presents a rotating repertory season of up to 10 plays and musicals, including illuminating interpretations of Shakespeare, other enduring classics, and new works. OSF productions have been presented on Broadway, internationally, and at regional, community, and high school theatres across the country. OSF received the 1983 Special Tony Award for Outstanding Regional Theatre and is one of the largest nonprofit theatres in the nation with three stages, including an outdoor Allen Elizabethan Theatre.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Washes windows, floors, shampoos carpets, furniture, waxes and strips flooring
- Vacuums all carpeted workspaces.
- Cleans theatre spaces, offices, restrooms, rehearsal spaces, meeting rooms, shops and grounds.
- Cleans laundry rooms, restrooms and hallways of OSF apartment buildings.
- Cleans apartment carpets and furniture as needed.
- Set up and break down of tables and chairs in various spaces for meetings, events and rehearsals.
- Moves equipment, chairs, tables, racks, costumes, furniture and other items around campus as needed.
- Collects and disposes of trash in waste cans, removes and disposes of recycling
- Clears gutters, roof and storm drains.
- Maintains grounds for safety in inclement weather, I.E. shovels snow, distributes ice melt etc.
Supervision Received: Custodial Supervisor, Associate Director of Facilities
Minimum Qualifications & Skills: GED or equivalent
Other Skills, Ability and/or Knowledge: Knowledge of all custodial tools and equipment used: vacuums, buffers, shampooers a plus.
Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds frequently, ability to climb ladders and stairs frequently and to perform routine cleaning functions including bending, kneeling and scrubbing. Ability to work with minimum supervision, in inclement weather, ability to maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner with co-workers, management, public.
Hours Requirements: 40 hours. Early shift work, weekend work, possible occasional evening work
Preferred Qualifications & Skills: Valid Oregon driver’s license preferred, knowledge of custodial equipment and supplies.
