- Perform custodial and environmental services duties in a commercial cleaning setting.
- Follow established cleaning protocols and safety procedures.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and common areas.
- Clean and maintain various types of flooring, including carpet, tile, and hardwood.
- Operate floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers, scrubbers, and extractors.
- Ability to work in autonomy with minimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask and effective time-management skills.
- Ability to verbally communicate and interpersonal skills.
- Daily inspections of all areas, which may include recleaning and sanitizing if needed.
- Light to moderate lifting or rearranging of furniture within facilities.
- Responsible for cleaning up spills that may include body fluids.
- Reports needs and concerns to the appropriate staff, which may include submitting or recommending work orders and checking supply levels.
- Performs cleaning functions specific to the assigned facilities and/or based on seasonal/project requirements.
- May provide vendors with access to areas for cleaning and answer basic questions.
- Conduct all contacts with families and other agency staff with professional.
- Check and respond to emails daily to maintain proper communication.
- Attend and actively participate in all scheduled meetings.
- Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication, time and attendance, progress notes, incident report filing, etc.
- All other duties that may be requested by the Supervisor.
- Maintenance Technician must maintain a professional and courteous manner with residents, visitors, contractors, and fellow employees.
- One must have the ability to follow oral and written instructions and be able to maintain effective and cooperative working relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with staff, administrators, and governing boards.
- Proven ability to solve problems creatively.
- Ability to effectively communicate ideas and information in written and oral format to administrative staff, colleagues, and governing boards.
- Person must be able to walk, stand, and sit for up to 8 hours. Person must have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.
- Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
