Position Summary
At Stony Brook Medicine, a TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate is a valuable member of our team who provides clinic services to our patient population. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication skills and provide excellent patient care, adhering to our high standard of excellence.
Duties of a TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate may include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Under the general supervision of the Technical Director of the Pediatric and Fetal Echocardiography Laboratory, the TH CTS Pediatric Cardiology Associate will perform and assist in the performance of a variety of echocardiographic procedures on fetuses, infants, children and adult patients in both the inpatient and outpatient setting.
- Obtain images using standard 2D, color flow, Doppler and m-mode techniques according to the pediatric and fetal echocardiogram protocols adopted by the Division of Pediatric Cardiology.
- Enter charges for exams performed.
- Enter patient data/measurements into report worksheets.
- Act as a clinical resource and preceptor for new staff and students.
- Provide coverage as needed to satellite clinic locations.
Qualifications
Required: Graduate of an accredited diagnostic ultrasound school program. One year experience in cardiac ultrasound. Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer or registry eligible.
Preferred: At least one year of experience in pediatric and fetal echocardiography. Experience in obstetric ultrasound. Experience with deformation imaging. Registered in Pediatric Echocardiography. Registered in Fetal Echocardiography.

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:
- Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Medicine's Employee Health Services
- Complete electronic reference check with a minimum of three (3) professional references.
- Successfully complete a 4 panel drug screen
- Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre employment screenings.
- Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s).
Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as - $83,232 -$101,459.
The above salary range (or hiring range) represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
In addition, all UUP positions have an additional $3,087 for location,
