Credit Union Specialist

The Virginia Credit Union League is currently seeking a Credit Union Specialist that is a motivated self-starter who is excited to join a fun, fast-paced dynamic organization.

Who's right for the job? Someone who is confident and has a high level of engagement with our member Credit Unions, both on-site and remotely. If you care about helping people, solving problems, and want to help Credit Unions continue to thrive, then this position is for you. This position reports to the Chief Advocacy Officer and will work closely with all the teams in the organization. The Virginia Credit Union League is a collaborative, goal driven organization that is working to ensure that Credit Unions of all sizes stay vibrant into the future. This is an amazing opportunity to play a critical role in that mission.

What you will do:

• Conduct training, strategic planning and audits for our member Credit Unions.
• Provide compliance support to our member Credit Unions.
• Become a trusted, go-to resource for our member Credit Unions.
• Engage in advocacy efforts with state and federal policymakers.
• Work closely with the advocacy and communications teams.
• Travel to Credit Unions around Virginia, with occasional overnight stays. Hybrid work is available.

Education and experience you need:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• At least five years of Credit Union experience
• Credit union compliance certification preferred
