As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial management and operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and generating reports in accordance with established procedures. Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and bank accounts.
- Post and balance entries in general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Enter bills and invoices into the accounting system, and process payments to vendors.
- Prepare daily, monthly, and annual reports as required.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information.
- Record disbursements, expenses, and other payments accurately.
- Liaise with other departments and external agencies to resolve common issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- A two-year college degree, completion of a specialized business or trade school course, or equivalent training.
- Proficient in using a 10-key calculator by touch and PC spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance preferred; willingness to complete yearly training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial transactions.
