As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial management and operations. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records and generating reports in accordance with established procedures. As an Accounting Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our financial management and operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Reconcile general ledger accounts, subsidiary ledgers, and bank accounts.
- Post and balance entries in general ledger and subsidiary ledgers.
- Enter bills and invoices into the accounting system, and process payments to vendors.
- Prepare daily, monthly, and annual reports as required.
- Verify accuracy, completeness, and consistency of accounting information.
- Record disbursements, expenses, and other payments accurately.
- Liaise with other departments and external agencies to resolve common issues.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of experience in a similar accounting role.
- A two-year college degree, completion of a specialized business or trade school course, or equivalent training.
- Proficient in using a 10-key calculator by touch and PC spreadsheet software.
- Knowledge of BSA/OFAC compliance preferred; willingness to complete yearly training.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external contacts.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial transactions.
